What happens after we receive a notice

We review every valid notice and aim to respond within 48 to 72 hours. Where a claim is substantiated we will remove or disable access to the material promptly. In appropriate cases, and where the rights holder prefers it, we will add proper attribution instead of removing the content.

Counter-notification

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was the result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. It must include your contact details, identification of the removed material and its former location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your place of residence.

Repeat infringers and false claims

We reserve the right to remove content and restrict access for anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright. Please also be aware that submitting a materially false takedown notice may expose you to liability for damages under applicable law.

Incomplete notices

Notices that do not contain the information listed above may be delayed or may not be actioned. If you are unsure whether your notice is complete, contact us and we will tell you what is missing.
